Scholarship Supplement Initiative

The Ashinaga USA Scholarship Supplement Initiative aims to fundraise for the Scholars' incidental expenses at university as well as to offset part of tuition cost. Our Ashinaga USA Scholars have attended:

Bucknell University; College for Creative Studies; DePauw University; Duke University; Hobart and Wiliam Smith; Lafayette College; Northwestern University; University of Notre Dame; Princeton University; St. Olaf College; SUNY Plattsburgh; Trinity College; Union College; University of Rochester; University of Miami; University of Richmond; Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Incidental expenses (such as winter clothes, dorm supplies, books, personal expenses) total on average $3,000 per year per student.  Some universities have accepted our Ashinaga USA Scholars with full scholarships that include flights, tuition, room, board, laptop, and personal expenses while other universities require an Additional Contribution of $10,000-15,000 per year. The Additional Contribution provided by Ashinaga USA has been approximately 17% of the amount of scholarships received and has averaged $10,043 per student.
